Jimmy Butler traded to Timberwolves in first blockbuster deal of draft night

Jimmy Butler has been traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to sources.

The news broke early on during the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Timberwolves reportedly send Zach Lavine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s draft for Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick.

This is BIG. NEWS. Jimmy Butler will almost certainly help the Timberwolves overcome their drought of successful seasons as he joins a youthful team with tons of potential.

Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins will now be dishing passes to Jimmy Butler. Now that sounds like pretty lethal.

There is still a chance that the T-Wolves move current starting point guard Ricky Rubio, but we’ll see where the rest of draft night and the off season take us. After letting go of Kris Dunn, they will need to get another point guard in either a trade or from the draft if they move on with plans to trade Rubio.
