Jimmy B on the move? Cavs reportedly assembling multi-team trade to acquire Butler

Chicago Bulls v Cleveland Cavaliers - Game FIve

LeBron “did’t start the super team,” but he sure must be on board with the philosophy.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly pushing to acquire Bulls G Jimmy Butler via trade.

Of course they are. How else could they beat the Warriors?

This would be big. Like really big. Meaning we would most likely see Cavs v. Warriors for the next 2-3 years. Woo.

Like I mentioned when discussing the future of the Celtics, the Bulls seem ready to move on and begin the rebuilding stage. They seem to be stuck and it might be time to hit the restart button. The T-Wolves and Suns are also reportedly attempting to acquire Jimmy B.

As for the Cavs, this would very likely result in the departure of Kevin Love, who even though is quite young, has racked up some miles over the years. His athleticism is beginning to be questioned, and the Cavs seem prepared to go their separate way.

There are also reports of LeBron…I mean the Cavs trying to trade for Paul George. This would also be huge. George, who has just informed the Pacers that he plans on becoming a free agent next summer,  would finally get a shot at a title. Even better for him, he could get a ring and then leave for the Lakers, where he reportedly wants to play. Sounds like a win/win situation to me.

We’ll have to see what happens as we approach draft day. Per usual, there’s a lot of talk, but so far, minimal action.
